Problem with Manage Alerts in Alert Manager

Hi,

Hope I place this question in right forum.

I want to know when my switch reports high degrees, with following variables.. in Alert Manager -> Edit Alert ->

NetPerfMon Eventlog variable :

${Node.SysName} has reported ${CustomPollerStatus.Status} degrees.

Above is working fine, but when I want this alarm send to me by email with following variables ${NodeName}${CustomPollerStatus.Status} it will only say the nodename not how many degrees the switch is having.

Any suggestion what I have done wrong?

Goto Alert manager-->Edit-->Trigger Action-->go on to select edit 'Edit e-mail/page action'.Now get to the 'Message' tab.Select 'Insert variable' option at the bottom.

Now you can see the 'NodeName' listed when you select 'General' option listed under 'Variable Category'.Whereas 'custompollerstatus' would not available to select under any of the four available options in the 'Variable category'.So the solution is to go ahead and enable 'Define SQL variable' and then write a custom SQL query.
