Node information retrieval

I had a node in Orion that was no longer receiving data. All the charts said, "No information available", or something to that effect. So I deleted the node and re-added it to the Orion system and it has worked fine ever since.

The problem is that I deleted all the historical data from that node as well, and need some way of getting it back. I have an old database from MArch that has that data. I know I can go into SQL manager and somehow export the data, but was wondering if anyone out there has done the same thing I have and what they did to retrieve the data.

One way I can think of to do this would be to restore
the backup with a different database name (you could just call it NetPerfMon1)
and then install an Eval copy of Orion on a separate server. The Eval is
fully functional with a 30-day license so you could get all of the old data on
that particular node without disrupting your production system.

Is there an easy way to export node detail into an Excel file once I do that?

From the DB Manager locate that node in the restored DB nodes table. You will need to use Sql to gather all of the pertinent information from the various tables based of the NodeID in question

Select * From Nodes WHERE NodeID = 'X'
Select * from InterfaceTraffic_detail where NodeID = 'X'
....

You will need to query the various tables associated with that node= Node details, Interfaces, CPU, Memory...

Then export the various resluts.
