I have 2 servers that are in question here, both are Red Hat linux web servers running Apache. I have added the Apache template monitor that was included with the APM install and normally it works great with no problems. Today my server admin needed to take down Apache to apply some patches to the server.
After he took these down, I looked in APM and saw one "application" listed down, the other was listed unknown. From this stems a a few questions.
1. What determines a Down vs Unknown status.
2. Is there a way to configure the monitor to only return an Up or Down status?
