Customise Resource for EOC?

Any chance of EOC to allow customization? Like for Orion, we are able to customize the resources and even create new resources.

This is already possible.

There are two scenarios:

1) Go to the view manager in the admin section and edit your views. You can specify the settings of the resources under the resources tab. When you save the changes you can specify whether to push the changes to all users or not.

2) EOC supports personalized pages so that each account can have their own personalized version of the views. To enable this go to the Role Manager in the admin section and edit a role. Specify "True" for "Allow Users to personalize their pages" This should enable the "Edit" button on all the resources for any users in that roles.

Any changes made by users made on a view directory will only be saved for that user.

True but not as flexible nor as accommodating as editing the resource.

For example, we have modified our 03-DownNodes.Resource to show by changing the underlying SQL in the resource.

While I can do limited things using the SQL filter in the EOC resource it does not allow me the flexibility to do this. And I do realize that the display size is limited so this would be changed to work within the display limitations.

At this point we do not have an official way for you to do this.

We will look into providing a more official and supported way of creating your own resources in the future based on a query. When that will happen is not known at this time.
