Application Monitor - Lotus Domino Server

Hi,

i'm using NPM since years now and i already monitoring all of my domino servers through Windows SNMP.

i would like to test APM to see how i could have a better monitoring of the domino server itself.

but when i tried to assign an application monitor (from the template) to a Domino server, i receive this error message :

Testing on node DominoServer1: failed with 'Down' status

SNMP is not supported on this node. For more information, see "Promoting an ICMP Only Node to SNMP" in the "Using Orion System Manager" chapter of the Orion NPM Administrator Guide.

cause i'm already using NPM, i already use SNMP on this node. SNMP is supported on this node ..

do you have any idea about this ?

I'm not sure I've seen that error, but it's likely that you just need to enable the Domino SNMP Agent. Directions on how to enable the Domino SNMP Agent are available at the link below.

Thanks for your reply ... but the domino snmp agent is already running on the domino server ... the domino is running version 8.5.2FP2.

What this error is saying is that this node is an ICMP only node, and not managed via SNMP in Orion NPM. Please double check that you're able to perform a "list resources" on this node and the nodes interfaces and volumes are properly listed in the results.

If the node is unquestionably managed via SNMP and is not configured as an ICMP only node in Orion NPM and you're currently evaluating APM, PM me your contact information and I'll have a Sales Engineer reach out and assist you. If you're an existing APM customer I recommend opening a case with support so they can resolve the issue.
