Can anybody please let me know how to monitor log files so that if any error message comes, We should be alerted?

The following templates are included out-of-the-box and allow for simple log file monitoring as you describe.

Windows: Log Parser (PowerShell)
Linux/Unix: Log Parser (Perl)
