Good Day All
Can you please advice if we can generate a report that indicates the bandwidthutilized between 2 servers on the new SAM version 6.6 RC.
This report to determine what is needed to centralize some servers to ourhead office.
Thank You

Are referring to Application dependency mapping, or actual bandwidth utilization? If you are asking about actual bandwidth utilization between two servers, you'll need to purchase and use the Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) module.

Deverts is correct, you will need some form of flow analysis. If the switch connecting the servers is layer 3 aware it may have NetFlow options. You just need to install NTA, specify the NTA server as a flow collector on the switch and then enable NetFlow monitoring on each switch port that you want to monitor..
If you do not have a switch with flow options then you could go down the road of a SPAN or mirror port. All managed switches will have this option. Once you have your SPAN\Mirror port setup you will need a traffic analysis tool such as our own LANGuardian. You can use report filters to show the bandwidth utilized between 2 servers, some examples of this in the video link below.

The 30 day trial may give you enough time to figure out what you need to do to centralize services in your head office.
Would setting up NTA between virtual servers to get true metrics be applicable or possible? ADM is not giving me consistent results and support is telling me its a firewall issue and to disable stealth mode if I want it to work.
