Create common template to monitor process

Hi,

Anyone can share how to create a common template to monitor all process that running?

In APM setting we can create the template but need to specify the process name. Also we can use "Find Process, services, and monitors" but this need to be done manualy one by one on each node.

This is an old question, but I was able to figure out a Transform for this in case someone runs across the question again. Create a Transform and use this formula:

truncate(({POLLERNAME}/columnsum( {POLLERNAME}))*100,0)

The truncate just gives me the amount rounded to the nears whole number. "Pollername" is simple the poller that you are using to read the hrSWRunPerfCPU. You may be using the default name (hrSWRunPerfCPU).

If you want a list of all the processes currently running on a device I would suggest creating a Universal Device Poller for the hrSWRunTable (1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2) and hrSWRunName column

nice info....:) i also find the cpu and memory usage of the process. now the problem is to combine both OID to create a table consists of process, cpu and memory usage....

any one know how to convert the hrSWRunPerfCPUvalaue into percentage?

"hrSWRunPerfCPU: The number of centi-seconds of the total system’s CPU resources consumed by this process. Note that on a multi-processor system, this value may increment by more than one centi-second in one centi-second of real (wall clock) time."
