Report Writer

Question

I am using Report Writer to create a query based on the Historical Interface Traffic template.  I have selected the node information and interface name, speed, alias etc. that I want to collect statistics for the period.  I have also selected Peak Receive bps and Peak Transmit bps.

What I am trying to do for the two month period is identify what time of day does the peak receive and transmit bps occur on each day of the query period (results are summarised by date).

I select the field 'Time of Day (24 hour format) under the Date/Time (Traffic Filtering Only) option but when I attempt to run the query I get the following error:

Cannot build SQL Query.

Query with aggregation function contains non-aggregated calculated fields.

Does anyone know what this means?

one more thing - i usually have to manipulate the FUNCTION (that is, don't leave it blank) in the new SELECT FIELDS field which i add.

it has been my experience when i get this same 'error' i can fix it by going back to my SELECT FIELDS and include one of those fields i've referenced in the FILTER RESULTS tab.

i may end of tagging it HIDDEN but it sure fixes it for me most times...hope this helps.
