Hyper9 vs. Virtualization Functions

I've just brought up 10.1.1 and am wading through the VM pieces to see what I can do. Where does Hyper9 fall into all of this? Are Hyper9 functions to be put into NPM? The rate of changes to the Solarwinds family of products can be pretty overwhelming at times.

Thanks. To be completely stupid, what is Profiler??

I originally bought Orion to replace HP's Openview, as a generic network engineer all I cared about was are my routers and switches up. Staffs shrink, responsibilty grows. Now I'm more and more responsible for the entire information fabric that runs our company. SolarWids products play very strongly into what I am trying to accomplish, i.e. the use of a common interface to see into most aspects of the information flow throughout the organization.

Does the Certification training put one through the paces of most of SolarWinds offerings? I am hoping to be able to more deeply train myself. Certs are nice, but truthfully I'm more interested in learing the in and outs of this monster I'm responsible for :-)

Profiler is more focused around backend Storage Array and monitoring those with additional analysis.
