Sam not loading oracle driver

Hi,

I have set up an oracle user experience monitor ,even though i installed the oracle driver i still kept getting the following error "The Oracle Client software must be properly installed to use the Oracle QA Monitor".

So i followed the troubleshooting steps outline here http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/apm/docs/Configuring_and_Integrating_Oracle.pdf , to determine if solar winds was loading the driver.

The process monitor shows the oracle driver being found by the sw job engine process process and apparently being loaded.

So i restarted everything tried the monitor still got the same error.

Also checked the SolarWinds.APM.Probes. process using process explorer and the oci.dll does not seem to be in the list of dlls for that process, which i'm assuming means the oracle driver was not actually loaded?

Running out of ideas how to fix this, any ideas what else i need to look at to get this to work?

The oracle driver is the 64 bit version.

Since you are using a 64bit database driver you will need to edit the application, expand "Advanced", and change the "Platform to run polling job on" from "x86" to "x64". Save your changes and SAM should properly recognize your 64bit driver.

Thank you for the post and answer. After working with support, I had a few of these monitors working and then hit a few that I could not figure out. Flipped over to x64 and away they went.
