Scan page using http monitor

I believe I remember seeing something on the SW page about the APM being able to scan a web page and detect say an image that should always be there( i think they said dynamic). Is this done through the generic http deal? If so, can someone explain how I could accomplish this?

You can use the task found here to setup your HTTP monitor and include it in your application:

The difference between the user experience monitor and the regular HTTP monitor are, mainly, the search string and fail if found fields. If you wanted to check for an image, you would enter something along the lines of the following in the Search String field: img src="<i>nameOfImageFile.png</i>" where you use the real name of your image file instead of <i>nameOfImageFile.png</i>. Ensure the Fail If Found field is unchecked.

I created a new app and a new http monitor with the search string like you said above but I am getting app down. The info says "Search string not found. HTTP 200. Request Succeeded"

What exactly does that mean? I know the image is located on the page

If you go to the page in Internet Explorer, right click, and select View Source. This will show you the HTML that makes up this page. If you search this page for your text, do you find it? This is basically what the HTTP Monitor is doing. It pulls down the HTML content of the page and searchs that content for the text you entered.

If I view the source of the page I find the image within the code.
