Live Update - Powershell script to Custom HTML Summary

Hi all,

Was wondering if someone knows if this is possible or a way to do this:

Basically, we have a citrix environement, my colegue has a powershell script that runs every morning and sends us an email with the farm status such as below;

I was wondering if there was a way that i could also get this to display in solarwinds and also make it a live ticker chart so it poles more frequently and will updatedate say every 30 minutes or when solarwinds does its normal poll.

The answer is yes, but the how is not nearly as easy to answer. Depending on how you want the information collected and displayed you have a few options. You can monitor essentially all of this information today simply by creating a custom application template. You can then create a custom SQL report in the Report Writer that mimics the output format of this report. It will require a little work, but it's definitely possible.

Ditto to what said above, but if your colleague is already gathering the information daily (and wouldn't mind doing it more often) you could dispense with trying to mirror the monitoring in SAM and just have him update a table in the SolarWinds database (of your creation, maybe named '_xenappfarmstatus') that you would then go ahead and poll with a report created with the Report Writer.
