Solarwinds Agent plugins fail to install - Ubuntu 16.04

I am deploying linux agents and for the most part they are working fine but I have a few that install successfully but the plugins fail to install:

I have tried reinstalling the plugins and reinstalling the agent. The issue seems t be with the Python2 install check holding up the Shared Python Library agent which dominos up the line of prerequisite plugins.

Does Python2 needs to be installed separately on the server? I didn't have to do it with any of the other agent installs.

Any idea on this one?

I got it, looks like it needs Python 2.4.3 or higher but not Python 3. Looks like only Python 3.x is on the boxes with the issue...

Thank you for posting this...just ran into this problem on a Ubuntu 16.04 machine and this post pointed me in the right direction.

FYI, I couldn't install 2.4.3 (I believe that version is deprecated... sudo apt install python2.7 got it done though (I'm running NPM 12.3, agent version 2.0.0.70)
