Upgrading to v10 from 9.5.1

Do I use the license manager on each one of my boxes and use that? Its been a while since I installed the product.

Basically I have

Netflow

NPM

3 additional polling engines

additional webserver

Hot swap engine

APM

NCM

What are the procedures that I need to do? Install modules on main NPM and also the additional webserver.

You got this error while installing the 10.0 additional poller?

The SolarWinds Knowledge Base article, "I am having a problem in the Configuration Wizard." has the following to say about your error:

Issue: While completing an upgrade of Orion NPM on an additional polling engine, I see the following error:
Services configuration failed:<br />

Can not change dependencies of 'SWJobSchedulerSvc'
Error starting Service (SWJobSchedulerSvc), Service SWJobSchedulerSvc was not found on computer '.'.

Resolution: By design, the Job Scheduler Service is not installed on Orion NPM Additional Polling Engines. In a standard installation, the Configuration Wizard will attempt to locate both the Job Engine and the Job Scheduler Service. These are not duplicated on additional polling engines, so this error may be ignored.

It actually looks like you can just ignore your error.

If you are upgrading in place, you shouldn't need to use License Manager. License Manager is most helpful when you need to move an installation from one machine to another.

If you are upgrading in place and not moving any installations, I'd recommend upgrading in the following order:

NPM
APM
NetFlow
NCM
Hot Standby Engine
Additional Polling Engines
Additional Web Servers

Thanks. I guess my question is do I click the install file and it basically installs over the old install, or do I use license manager and take all the licenses off and then remove the programs from the servers and then install the 10 versions?

Just run the installer and you should be good. The installer will upgrade over the old installation.

I am currently going to 10.0 now.. I got all the old software links but I can't seem to find a version 10.0 of the additional web server. I can't imagine it will allow me to jump from 9.5.1 to 10.1.2 I am getting all engines and main box to 10.0 then 10.1.2
