Is there a view template that contains a table with node name cpu and memory utilisation

Hi guys,

I'm new to this Solarwinds stuff so please forgive the newb-ness of the post.

I'm looking to create a view in Orion that can be displayed on a large screen for people to look at quickly and easily to see status. The view that I am looking for would be a 3 column webpage with each column containing a table (or multiple tables) that contain a list of node names, the cpu usage for that node and the memory utilisation for that node. So for example column 1 would have a list of my Citrix servers by name with CPU and memory utilisation bars beside the node name for each server. Column 2 might have my Exchange and SQL servers etc. Column 3 might have my web servers and file servers. Is there anything already in the product that can do this or a downloadable template?

Probably where you want to be looking is the "Custom Summary" page which is on the "Home" tab.

If you click on the "Customize Page" link then on the "Edit" button next to the 2 column widths you can configure the page to have 3 columns, each with a width of your choosing.

You can then edit the "Custom Object Resource" boxes to show items of interest, or you should be able to add standard blocks from the whole system.

The main issue now is if you can find the Resources that cover what you need.

I've been playing around with it a bit more and have figured out how to do multiple columns and the blocks of data that I can put in. So far have really only been able to put in tables that contain the node name and CPU OR RAM bar for that node. I have figured out how to limit the views so it only shows the systems that I want etc. Still hoping to come across a table that contains node name, CPU and RAM bars though.

Are there any resources on how to customise the resource objects? Is that possible?

If you add, for example, the "Top XX Nodes by CPU Load" from "Top XX Lists" section you can click on the "Edit" button and change the number of devices it will show. Only problem with this approach is that there may be an upper limit to the number of devices you list.

Is this any closer to what you're after?

Sounds like I am on the right track as that is what I have started using. I have 3 columns now with a variety of Top XX Nodes by CPU Load broken up into various tables dependant upon what they do (Citrix Servers, SQL Servers etc). It's closer to what I am looking for but what I was hoping for was where in Column 1 I could have a "Top XX Nodes by CPU Load and Memory Utilisation" if you can imagine. So the table would like like:

ServerA CPU Bar RAM Bar

ServerB CPU Bar RAM Bar

Hope that makes sense Is this even possible? I have noticed that when I hold my mouse over a node it shows a bunch of little graphs with CPU and RAM details in it. Was hoping to get a couple of those bar graphs side by side with the node name.
