Netpath to Google

I'm blowing up the netpath questions today .  So from my remote offices across our MPLS network and out to Google it seems to be working somewhat.  Here is what I'm seeing.

Remote office --> remote core sw --> remote rt --> HQ rt --> HQ sw --> unknown hop --> Google.

It is not seeing my firewall or external router which sit after my HQ sw.  My NPM server can ping through our firewall and to the external router.  I'm polling both with snmp and collecting data.  Shouldn't it see those device as hops?

Also, should I see anything besides just the end, Google which just give me a little info like a phone number and email for abuse?

Ah I think I made some progress.  So on my firewall I opened up port icmp type 11 as mentioned in some documentation and now I'm getting a lot more info.  Looks like I will need to open that port to each IP on my internal network or just all together.  What sort of security risks are there with allowing that traffic in?

Still doesn't see my firewall as a hop, not sure if it should.
