Windows Management Instrumentation goes into Unknown state

Question

I have a App monitor setup to monitor this but it seems to be happening a lot on our SQL boxes.

Any help as to why this service keeps going into an Unknown state? The service shows that it is running but I need to re-start the service to get any information from any of my WMI monitors.

Would SQL using all the available physical memory be causing this issue.

Polling frequency is set to 300 and polling time outs for this are set to 600 seconds.

Just got off the phone with Profzoom1. We looked at the monitors that were showing the unknown status and found that WMI on the machine did not publish the PerfFormated counters.The WMI troubleshooting guide should assist in fixing the windows machine to show the appropriate counters.
