TaskScheduler event monitoring

Hi,

I tried to monitor failed scheduled task using windows event log monitor.

None events matched using the following criteria.

Log to monitor: Microsoft-Windows-TaskScheduler/Operational

Log source: TaskScheduler

Event ID: 101

Event type: error

is this possible using windows event log monitor?

WMI does not support nested Windows Event Logs. You will need to be running SAM 5.5 and change the fetching method for Windows Event Logs from WMI to RPC as pictured below.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I'm currently using SAM 5.0, is there additional cost upgrading to 5.5?

Is there other way to monitor this aside from Windows event log monitor?

Provided your SAM license is under active maintenance then there is no additional cost associated with the upgrade. You can download the SAM 5.5 right now through your Customer Portal.
