SNMP Polling backs up and then the website slows down and we don't get any new data on any of our devices in solarwinds. any ideas what is happening?
That's a pretty general symptom. Can you provide some specifics?
Device count, element count, SQL server hardware, Orion software revs?

assuming this is on one poller, you have way to many polls for one polling engine.
SW recommends under 8000 per polling engine. I have about 18000 polls across 3 machines and it works like a champ.
I think I saw in 9.5 that the poll tuning is done automatically, but you might want to check that as well.
I'm having a problem that I only have about 5k elements on a polling engine, but it can't keep up consistently. IT's set at the max of 300 polls p and I had to turn Status polling to max and I am still dropping
