Blinking gif icon on map

is there any way that NPM network atlas show gif blinking icon on MAP ... i try to use gif blinking image but when its loads on MAP its don't blink.

I've spent a lot of time working with Atlas and to the best of my knowledge it can't be done, Atlas as it works right now does not allow changing gif's or backgrounds.

I put in a feature request for it here if you want to vote it up
