I am trying to setup a NOC view for some applications we have in SAM version 6.1.0 and NPM10.7. I have a parent group then child groups for databases, nodes, scheduled tasks, websites, etc. The first issue I found is I can not add a node for ICMP only using a website record that is already being polled by the server. Is it possible to have a SNMP node setup with polling ip of 10.10.10.10 and a website that has DNS A record of 10.10.10.10? When I try to add the website it says polling IP is being used by server name.
Once I get all these groups setup I would like to a view like below that would show their status (green, yellow, red). Is there a way I can create a custom view that I can select which groups are displayed?
