APM Response Codes

When an APM component fails and you hover over the little orange box it specifies why it's failing, in the case of URL's it will specify the response code that it's receiving. This information is very important to us, is that stored historically in the DB so that I can go and see what caused a failure? Also, is there a variable that I can use to send that information as part of the alert?

If this isn't currently possible then I would like it submitted as a feature request.

Correct.

By the way, there is another table called APM_ProcessEvidence_Detail that extends the data for another types of component (windows services, processes). So that's the reason why APM_ComponentStatus_Detail doesn't contain all information.

You can find the response codes in the APM_PortEvidence_Detail table in the StatusCode column for following monitors - FTP Monitor, IMAP4 Monitor, Http(s) Monitor, NNTP Monitor, POP3 Monitor, SMTP Monitor.

You need to join this table with APM_ComponentStatus_Detail using ComponentStatusID field (to be able to filter records using ApplicationID and ComponentID).

If the status code is part of the component error message, you can use ${StatusOrErrorDescription} variable as part of alert (for more information see http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=OrionAPMAGOrionAPMAlerts.htm).

Hello,

In the *_Detail tables there are data for last 7 days (by default). Then the data are aggregated to *_Hourly tables and some status information (StatusCode, ErrorMessage...) are lost.

In the APM_ComponentStatus_Detail there is Timestamp column with time of poll. The APM_PortEvidence_Detail table extends this table about additional data (you have to join these two tables).

So you can get the status code for last 7 days.

Ah, so the APM_ComponentStatus_Detail.ID maps to APM_PortEvidence_Detail.ComponentStatusID, is that correct?
