Adding offline nodes in v8

We often installs new customers during weekends.
In v7 we used to add nodes that where still offline and set this device does not support SNMP. Then we changed the SNMP Community and the node came online during the weekend. In V8 you can use ICMP Only but then it is not possible to change it. It has to be delete and added when it is online. Is there a way to fix this?

I have exactly the same problem and am hoping for a fix. It is definitely a downgrade in functionality from v7.

Ok, found a work around, you can add the site as ICMP, then re-add the same site later with snmp, without deleting it first. It appears to preserve the statistics this way.

Use a SQL Query to add information to the Nodes Table on your database.
