Hello,
I'm not sure what the difference is between the solarwinds and the solarwindsorion database, shown in SQL server Management studio.
Could it be that on fits for NPM and the other for NCM??
Thanks for your time and answer
Gerrit
unless you changed the name from default the orion database should be named NetPerfMon.
I do not own NCM so i can not speak to what it might be named
Gerrit,
It could be a duplicate that you made at one point, or it could be related to the install of NCM7, which if it didn't reference the original NetPerfMon database would have created a new one.
Basically, it breaks down like this:
NPM requires a database. By default: NetPerfMon.
NCM also requires a database. By default: ConfigManagement.
NCM 7, because it integrates with Orion either ties into NetPerfMon, or it could have been told to create a new one-which would likely be your other db.
Obviously, the best way to find out would be to investigate what tables are located in each.
