Monitor Microsoft TS license use

Does anyone know a way to monitor a Microsoft Windows 2008 Terminal services license use and availability using the Orion tools?

 

We have a TS license server that is running out of licenses and we don't know why.

So far we can see two ways how to monitor Microsoft Terminal Services licenses details with APM:

 

1. By the using WMI – Terminal Services Licensing WMI provider exposes Win32_TSLicenseKeyPack class. In this scenario you should be able to query directly Win32_TSLicenseKeyPack\TotalLicenses, Win32_TSLicenseKeyPack\IssuedLicenses, Win32_TSLicenseKeyPack\AvailableLicenses, Win32_TSLicenseKeyPack\ExpirationDate counters. 2. By the using Terminal Services Licensing Reporter Tool (Lsreport.exe) from some custom script (vbscript or PowerShell). Here you would need to write a custom script to run Lsreport.exe tool and parse its output.
