Radius authentication with Nortel BPS switch

Setting up Radius auth using NCM and Nortel BPS (Business Policy Switches) has not been working. When I try Validating the Login or try Downloading the Config I get a 'Bad Password' error. I have double-checked the pw and tried it while manually telnetting to the device. It works manually but not through NCM.

Has anyone else had success with using BPS's and NCM? I've been able to use Radius with Nortel 470 and 460's without a problem.

Please post a session trace and we'll see if we can get this working. It might be a prompt issue.

It appears based on the session trace that it's logging into the device and then it gets prompted for the username again. Is that correct?

The other issue is that the device prompt is using a # sign. We may have to override this in the device template.

Try creating a copy of the device template (<install dir>:\Solarwinds\Configuration Management\DeviceTypes) and then edit the device in the NCM management app and manually assign your new template (under Communication).

Then, add the following line to the template:
