Has anyone had or noticed any issues with your APM Credentials Library and the account used by a monitor when a crash happens with the domain controller where the credentials authenticated?
Hello lchance,can you be more specific? What issues have you encountered and what happened?
we use a common domain account which is inside our Windows Domain Admin group and it also has a domain-policy on it for three password tries or else it will get locked.
this same account is used by APM Credentials.
yesterday one of our domain controllers was taken off the network and it caused an issue with this account - i assume this account was authenticated by that particular DC.
so APM's monitor polling in its attempt to use this credential caused the account to get locked after three polls. so all APM Monitors went critical.
Have you verified that this account works also without that DC? For example by logging with it to one of monitored computers? If it doesn't work, then you have to change credentials or make this account active again.
