We have a layer 2 loop built for redundancy and we are using EAPS from Extreme for the "loop management". However, once in a while there seems to be some delay from when the loop fails and topology changes to the data getting routed through the other links. During this time (maybe a minute) Orion can report down nodes that are on the far end of the loop. Is there a way I can set up suppression so that the alerts for down nodes on the far end of the loop do not trigger for X seconds after the topology change alert is triggered?
For example, if the Topology_Change alert is triggered at 12:00 am, the Node_Down alert will be suppressed for 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes expires the Node_Down alert is active.
Thanks in advance.
