Fault: NPM:: Network Atlas - Lables/Text Boxes Random Repositioning

Hi,

Do other people experience this issue?

When you copy an object to an existing map or add a new node to a map with existing labels/text boxes all the labels/text boxes shift seemingly randomly. This means that if you have many labels or text boxes that youhave to reposition them after adding nodes. If it does affect other people do you find it annoying or is it just me.

Yes, I have experienced similar this and have a current case open that has been re-created and is with the dev team.

Still see this problem in 9.1 SP5. I thought it was jsut me.....

Hi,

I have very similar issue, for 9.5 SP5 , I have newly added one node, however the device details showing is not of same device.

details are fetched from other existing node. not sure why NPM is not showing of same device.

please share if you have any info/resoluation for this issue.

This is known issue that is tracked in our system.

There is a work-around for this, though it is a bit complicated:

1. add an empty node (right click on a map - add object)

2. add a label to the node (right click on the node - add label)

3. change the label's background to a non-transparent (right click on the label - properties - uncheck "Transparent background" - select a background color - click OK)

4. move the label over the added empty node (so the node is covered by the label) or change the node's style to Colored Circle and then resize it so it is not visible

This way the label won't jump if you add a new node on the map
