I cant find any of the linux servers. I did not network discovery and it is under vendor (unknown/ nt-snmp)
How could i bring and monitor linux servers to the spot so that I can monitor them
Hi purnima.m,
If I understand you correctly, you have completed a network discovery, and you were expecting to see your Linux nodes listed under a Linux vendor. SolarWinds identifies some distributions of Linix under this heading, rather than identifying them as Linus. I expect, if you check the nodes listed under the vendor net-snmp/unknown, you will find your Linux nodes
It's more likely (in order of likelyhood) your Linux hosts do not have SNMP configured, enabled, use a different SNMP community string than was provided during discovery, or SNMP restrictions in place prevent those servers from responding to SNMP requests from the Orion server. I would recommend reading through how to enable/configure NET-SNMP on Linux hosts at the links below.
