wrote a advanced alert to fire when a device was up for more than 24hours, would be robust enough to handle internet dropouts.
trigger when node name starts with Sitex and node status is up.
do not trigger until condition exists for 24 hours
reset when node name starts with Sitex and node status is down
do not reset until condition has been met for 1 hour
thats it. Very simple alert setup but it did not trigger when a test device was left on for 3 days solid so no issues with the reset portion yet even.
looking at the alert page it shows (alert state of 1) as being staged every time a node comes active with the name starting with Sitex. If the node goes down then it removes from the alert page.
So i must be missing something but i sure have not been able to figure out what.
