Interface Utilization Report - Mismatch with Charts

I have a report showing circuit interfaces with average percent utilization above 25% historically over the last three months. For everything that makes it to the list, I also report on the following fields given in the report writer:

AVERAGE_of_Recv_Percent_Utilization
AVERAGE_of_Xmit_Percent_Utilization
MAX_of_Recv_Percent_Utilization
MAX_of_Xmit_Percent_Utilization

Clicking one of the interfaces to check out its Interface Details page, I see the "Percent Utilization - Line Chart" resource for it, and sometimes the max percent transmit or receive I see there is up to 20% higher than what I have in my report. What did I mess up on here? Why don't the numbers match?

This will generally have to do with averaging / time period and the sample intervals involved. The calculations for average and max will be dependant upon these variables.

Are you comparing the report on the report writer and the report on the web console? Try to unchecked the option “Group historical data by days” under General tab on the report writer and check it again.
