Interface Description Macro

Hi,

I am having problems getting these macros to work properly:

TypeDescription Description
Type Description
InterfaceTypeDescription

It just gives me a blank email when I add either of above with &{ }

?

Anders,
The following macros should work on Interface Alerts.

${InterfaceType} IANA Interface Type number
${InterfaceTypeName} IANA name (ethernetCsmacd, ppp, etc)
${InterfaceTypeDescription} Description (Ethernet, Serial, etc)

These do NOT work on Node alerts.

Be sure to use "${ }", not "&{ }"

I just talked to tech about this and they told me to use ${Caption}.

Before if an interface on my routers would go down, I would just get an alert that said device so and so was down. Now it actually tells me which interface on a device. So at least now if it is say the ethernet side of a backup router that goes down, I don't have to panic
