How to disable pdh fallback?

I previously ran into massive issues with PDH and dev helped me disable all pdh fallback activity.

Upon upgrading to 4.2 PDH is again active and is causing massive failures on my APM server.

Does anyone know how to disable PDH?

I have started Case #274460 - "Disable PDH fallback"

Hi Adeimel,

Locate SolarWinds.APM.Probes.dll.config in APM installation folder, typically C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\APM. Search for "Pdh" string, it is located in tag add key=PerfCounters.*FetchingOrder. Remove Pdh from the value.

Tomas just to confirm pdh should disable counterfetcher?

I am still seeing it after this change.

Hi Adeimel,

Pdh won't disable counterfetcher.exe. If you have troubles with counterfetcher instances, you have to remove external, not pdh from the probes.config file.
