Where do I disable Alerts from?

Very basic question. I have a host I need to disable alerts on. I see at this page,

www.solarwinds.com/.../wwhelp.htm

That it's possible to do so. However, no matter where I go in SWO, I can't seem to find the parent page(s) for this functionality.

Like I said, a very basic question. I've searched the online documentation and haven't found an answer.

You need to go into the actual server. This function isn't available from the web gui.

Add a boolean node custom property called something like "Disable_Alerts".

Add criteria to your alert(s): Disable_Alerts is equal to No

This will allow you to disable alerting for a given host via the web UI.

You can get more complicated if you want, but this is one of the things custom properties can be used for.

If you're going to be doing maintenance I would recommend unmanaging the node or application to disable alerts. This can be done through the web interface and will not impact uptime statistics while the node or application is unmanaged.
