Hello
i saw that the ability to monitor IBM websphere was included in the new APM...i haven't been able to find anything else on it....can someone point me in the the right direction?
Thanks
stevel
Hi stevel,
APM does not have by default a template installed for IBM Websphere applications but you can create one easily with the AppBuilder in the APM Settings on the webconsole.
I bet another APM user already created a such template but I can't find it in the content sharing zone. Maybe if this thread is read someone would share it.
Meanwhile could you tell us what you need to monitor to ensure that your application is running (Services, SNMP/WMI Counters, Webpage, Tcp port, etc...) so that you can start creating your own template?
Yann
we really aren't sure yet what we need to monitor....i was hoping to find a template for it already created....this is running on a unix box.....i assume the first step would be to load net-snmp?
yes enabling Net-SNMP would be a good step. This will allow to monitor if some services are up or not.

I can't help you on this...may be some IBM websphere experienced users are lurking around this post...
