Setting Credentials for NCM access via web interface

Hello,

Within the NCM user manager interface on my Orion server, i have created users with the Adminstrator Role.

When I login to the Orion Web Interface, go the Configs tab, the NCM Home screen says "no data available. Please enter your NCM credentials".

When i enter them, nothing happens, i dont even get an error.

The only way I can get to NCM via the web interface is to login using a generic Admin account but can't seem to see where in this account it is set to be allowed into NCM.

Where am i missing something?

hello Doug,

I spoke with SW support and know the workaround. Basically they told me it's a known bug and that NCM's ability to commuicate with AD is broken. They showed me how to delete the appropriate entries in the WebUserSettings table in the SW database to stop AD accounts from getting locked out. They suggested I upgrade my NCM from 6.0 to 6.1 to see if that improves the situation with my current NPM at 10.1.

Anyways, to answer your question, yes these non-generic accounts are part of an AD user group.

Within NCM user config manager, I have all these users setup separately all with the Adminstrator role.

Within the Orion Web Interface, I have an AD user group setup, of which all these non-generic accounts are a part of.

Please send me the KB article anyways if this isnt what your talking about.

Are the non-generic admin accounts part of an Active Directory user group? If so, we have a know issue for which I can send you the KB article.

If all of your accounts are valid NCM accounts, then they work in the Orion Web Console integration.

Let me know how your accounts are setup and I'll suggest from there.
