How do I use a Custom Property on a Group in a Remediation Script

I have created a group and populated it with Devices, I have added a Custom Property on that group.

What I want to do is is both use that group to Target a compliance Policy, and also use the value of the Custom Property as a variable in the remediation script.

I seem to be able to do neither, has anyone ever tried this or been able to make it work ?

Without further and additional information, 

You may have to develop an additional Rule Set to associate a new policy for this specific node group.  The policy is where you can define your nodes and the rules themselves will hold the remediation script for that group of nodes.  

It does sound like a good feature request, but needs a little more context to it.
