Reports in Orion website

Hi,

I have been messing about with NPM Report Writer in order to make the reports available on our Orion Website. And basically anything I tried so far was without success.

The reports are located in C:/Program Files/SolarWinds/Orion/Reports

The NPM version is 9.5 with SP5.

The tick box "Make this Report available from the Orion Website" is checked.

Anyone has please any suggestions?

I can think of a couple of quick things for you to check. First, make sure that the user account you're logged in as is set up to view reports. At the bottom of the edit account screen, there is a section called "Default Menu Bar and Views." The last item in that section is a drop down for Report Folder. If your reports are in the default folder, you should select \Reports. Also, do you just have one Orion server or do you use the additional web server? If you're using the additional web server, you have to manually copy new reports from your primary Orion server's report folder to the report folder on the additional web server.

I am logging in with a copy of admin account. We don't have a standalone version of a Orion Webserver. Everything runs on a single machine.

We will probably have to raise a ticket with SolarWinds and deal with them. Thanks for the suggestions though it was worth while to check it out.

EDIT: Yup. Permission problem. It was a copy of an admin account but having admin rights does not mean you can see the reports. Quite easy to overlook it.
