Passing date and time to Config Change Templates

I can't figure out how to pass variables beyond the NCM.Node table.  I see all the ISD variables, but can't figure out how to pass them.  A tutorial on how to pass these values would be helpful. 

Also, I'd like to pass the date and time (to set them on the router.  Is there a way to pass the system time or date,or must I prompt for these?

Also, one example uses the loop:

foreach ( @node in @ContextNode )

When do you need to do a foreach.  Most of the examples doesn't use this top level structure.
