NCM Comparison Juniper

We have several Juniper 4200s and 8200s monitored by NPM and setup for NCM backups. These devices always show up on the Overall Running vs. Startup Config Conflicts. I am not sure what NCM is comparing since Juniper OS only has a running configuration so there is not a startup config to compare against. Is this why they show up on the conflict list? When I compare the 2 most recent running configurations of these Juniper devices they do not show any conflicts and they shouldn't since Juniper requires a commit for changes to take affect. How does NCM compare when there is not a running and startup config? Is there a way to have NCM not compare the Juniper devices? Or is there a recommended solution on how NCM comparison treats these Juniper devices?

I just delete that widget personally. I find it unhelpful as the concept of a startup/running config doesn't really apply to a big chunk of my gear.

If your config Backup window is long enough, I download the same config twice. Once as running once as startup. I think I had to modify the device template to send the same commands for backing up those config types.

I will look at changing the Juniper template to get config for | display set.

When does the Overall Running vs Startup Config comparison run? Is there a way to adjust when this runs or run it manually to test after making template change and getting some backups?
