Sql Query Return Value

When using the Oracle User Experience Monitor, how do you tell it to send an alert if the value of the Sql Query is a certain value? For example, I want to do a "select running_processes from......" and I want to send an alert if the value is zero.

You could use the "Statistic Data" field or set a threshold for the statistic and alert on the component monitor being in a critical (or warning) state.

That's what I thought. But even though the application monitor is showing the value as 0.00 and I have the critical threshold set for 0.00 it's maintaining the application as "Up" and not switching it to "Critical".

Possible bug?

Thresholds are "greater than" (>) not "greater than or equal to" (>=). Try using -0.01

For anybody else out there trying to monitor Concurrent managers using APM, here is how I got it working -

Oracle User Experience Monitor

Sql Query: select count(*) from apps.fnd_concurrent_queues where concurrent_queue name in ('FNDICM', 'FNDCPOPP', 'STANDARD', 'FNDCRM') and running_processes=0

Statistic Critical Threshold: 0.50

So, if any of those managers do not have a running process then a count of at least 1 is returned and the app goes into critical state. I then created an alert off that.
