Using report writer to configure monitors

Question

Hi,

I have been looking to create custom monitors over the past few days using sql filtering with some success (i am not patciuraly confident with sql queries at the moment).

There was a specific monitor i wanted to create and a helpful contributor advised me to use the report writer. It did exactly what i was hoping for, however i cannot see how i would be able to put this into a list monitor on the web console.

Is it possible for this to be done? if not does anyone know if there is an output for a sql query filter that i can apply to a monitor?

Thanks for this, i had managed to work it out in the end, i just didn't see the option to use a report from orion report writer.

If your question is can you display reports as resources in the Orion web console, the answer is yes. It's no different than adding any other resource to a view. Simply select "Report from Orion Report Writer" and click Submit.

You can then click the "edit" button on this newly added resource to select which report you'd like displayed in the resource. It will then appear similar to the image below.

In this example I'm using the out-of-the-box "Device Types" report.
