NPM discovers Cisco 4510 three interfaces for every physical switchport. One "normal" one that we'd always monitor, plus two virtual ports ("controlled" and "uncontrolled") that use the same physical interface name. These virtual interfaces have to do with Cisco's implementation of security practices (see my discover of this here: Re: Unknown Additional Interfaces as Uncontrolled/Controlled on SUP8 )
NPM's pretty powerful. Is there a way to use its power and flexibility to List Resources on a 4510 and automatically check or uncheck interfaces whose name or description includes "controlled" and / or "uncontrolled"?

As it works today, if I click "All", then I get three times as many elements added as I need. If I select "Active Only" ports, then I still get three times as many is required, plus I lose the ability to monitor ports currently inactive. But they may be active in an hour or a week, and I'd like an option to select "All ports EXCEPT controlled and uncontrolled".
How would you try to do this?
