Polling Engine Status

Hi,

 

I am Solarwinds NPM newuser. Refer to administrator guide page 103. Managing Orion NPM Polling Engines.

After I select Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > System Manager.

I received the following error dialog box message.

Hi,

This error appears when System Manager cannot establish the connection to the database.

It is often due to a bad password.

 

Is the NetPerfMon service running?

Can you connect to the database using SQL Server Management studio?

If you review the SQL Server logs, do you see any errors?

If you see a login failed event, you can use the configuration wizard to reconfigure the Orion SQL User.
