Sensamatic EM1

Hi all.

I'm trying to get Solarwinds Orion to monitor a sensor device - it's a Sensamatic EM1 and supports extraction of its sensor (temperature, humidity and wetness) readings using SNMP. When I try to add it as a node in Orion, I get an error message about the device not accepting the "Interfaces MIB" and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to have Orion retrieve sensor information from the device.

The manufacturers of the device have supplied a .my file along with it which they say should help, but I can't find any way to install this file in Orion. I've searched the drive Orion is installed on for .my files and found none, so I'm slightly unconvinced at this is the solution.

Anyone have any helpful ideas?

Hi Geoff,

Orion cannot poll custom information from devices like this yet.
Orion Version 8 should have this capability when it comes out.

(hint - search for 'v8' in this forum for more info on this).
