Show node status on same page as Interfaces

Question

I have created a dashboard that shows critical interfaces that have a custom property call critical interfaces.  On the same page, I want to show a list of devices that contain the critical interfaces.  This would allow someone to click into the device if they see an issue with the interface to look at the entire device.   I created an NCM summary page, but I can't find a way to add the status of the devices to the page meant to list interface information.

Any ideas?

You could do this two ways, either by creating a custom table and using the GUI, or by using a custom query if you are into sql/swql.

To do a table just add a custom table to the view, and when you go to configure the data source set it up like this, except change the comments custom property to the critical interfaces custom property for your case.

then add in the columns for caption (node), status description (node), caption (interface)

If you want to do it as a query it would be roughly like this, assuming i got the name of your custom property correct.

I would investigate using a Custom SQL Query, Pretty much anything you want to display can be shown using a query. It will create a list much like a report, also supports a URL link that be customized. You could create a query that displays nodes and interfaces, each linking to the default or custom node or interface view, or directly open a map, or even open a web page to the node. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
