I am using NCM 2020.2.1 and attempting to test the config change approval feature. I have two areas that are not clear to me at this time.
First, when I would like to set up a user with WebUploader role to be able to configure a job to execute a script, and another user with WebDownloader role to configure a job to download configs. Now, the online NCM documentation says, "For each user in the list that you want to have a WebUploader role but neither the Engineer or Administrator role, select the user name, and click Edit." In other words, it would appear that I should be able to have a user account that is NOT and ADMIN, but does have the NCM WebUploader role. However, when I configure the user account settings that way, I cannot access the Jobs page in NCM. A pop-up message tells me that the user must be both an Admin and either an NCM Administrator or Engineer. Is that right? If so, that defeats the purpose of having a "lesser" user account create jobs that then have to be approved by an NCM Administrator. What am I missing here?
The other thing (and it may be tied to my first question) is that I cannot seem to get a scheduled job to appear on the Pending Approval list?
Any help or advice? Thanks.
