Exchange 2010 support

Are there plans to have a monitor for Exchange 2010?

My company is bypassing 2007 since 2010 will be out on Oct. 22 and have opted to go with the new exchange 2010 because of the way it handles the datbase and replication being able to run in both our DR and Primary DC and not have to worry about the databases being out of synch or bringing up a different exchange server if our primary server fails.

Will Solarwinds be creating an APM template for this?

So was there any resolution? I didn't see any in the posts and I have the latest, greatest, and I am seeing LDAP issues in the Exchange Templates as well. The error states:

"Bad input parameter. Counter is not single instance, an instance name needs to be specified."

Support nailed it. We have multiple instances and when pointed to a single instance: Success!!!

The reason why you are receiving such an error is that the Performance Counter that you are trying to retrieve statistics on is actually having more than one instance. You will have to specify the instance to be able to get it working.

It is actually pulling out the statistics as per perfmon from the target server.
You will need to go to the server that the Exchange 2010 template is applied to.
Start > Run > perfmon

Click on the "+" icon, and choose the Counter and the Category as indicated in the APM component.
[Web Console > Settings > APM settings > Manage Application Monitors > (Select) Application > Edit Properties > (Expand) APM component] and note Counter and Category.

On selecting it on "perfmon", you will notice that there is an "instance" selection box that allows you to make a selection. If you have more than one, you will have to make a choice and input one of them in. Or use _Total, if that option exists.

So if one wants to monitor each instance and the LDAP metrics, they would have to add each counter manually and apply. Hope this helps someone else when searching
